There comes a time when a little revolution can do an awful lot more good than meekly submitting to the will of others, especially if you feel you have a genuine greivance.

That time is NOW my friends.
What do i mean?

I propose that if you are happy with following Statement you post your acceptance in this thread and get as many others as possible to sign up including League/Ladder players & admins, Clan members, server admins/providers and just about every COD/UO/COD2 player you can ask.

"We request here and now that either Activision or Infinty Ward make an offcial announcement regarding their future support for the Call of Duty series of games on or before 16th December 2005.

The statement should include the following:

1. When will you include an Anti-Cheat system for COD2?
2. When you you release your 1st patch for COD2?
3. What will it include?
4. What other plans have you for the support of the Call of Duty Games?
5. What will you do to ensure this situation does not arise again?

Failure to comply with this very simple request will result in the following action:

We will actively encourage ALL
Clans, Leagues, Ladders, Players, Admins and server providers to enforce a series of 24hr mass server shutdowns of all Call of duty games at a time of our choosing.

Don't take this lightly, word spreads, people won't buy a broken toy.
This has never been done before and do you really want to go down as the first and only companies to have it's client/fan base take such drastic measures in order to simply be given some regular information about a product, the choice is yours alone.

WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED ANY LONGER.

TALK TO US AND HELP US, TO HELP YOU MAKE THE CALL OF DUTY SERIES BETTER ONLINE GAMES.

DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

To my knowledge, should this action take place it will be the first and only time such drastic measures have been taken by any gaming community anywhere in the world.
I don't want us to make history but it may come done to it.

SHAME ON YOU AV AND IW FOR LETTING IT GET THIS FAR....

It is time IW woke up and smelled the coffee....

After all, its US who are paying the bills. We do so by buying the product, supporting the product and company. The least they can do is reciprocate.

WoW

Right on. I believe in this and I support you 100 percent ButchCassidy. I as alot of others are saddened by how the cod series has been managed then today to have to read about how we modders were not there shoved me over the cliff.

For about 2 years now the players, modders, server host and you name it has been begging for help, asking questions and being a true supporter of cod/uo and now cod2. To this day there has been nothing but silence.

To read that interview was like them Act/IW slapping us all in the face. Again

" I TOLD YOU SO"

I said it many of times, and yes the time has come to move in another direction and tactic. All the times when someone, not just myself but when anyone lashes out, says their minds or just tells it like it "truely" is we got hammered, post moderation, BANNED ( parrott ) and just plain slammed into the ground.

I know of a few people in these boards who "will come to the aid of IW". I will not name them but be forwarned, you people do come in here and try to "hide" the truth will get so flamed by me. Its time that you people pulls your heads out of IW butts for a change. This is a warning. I have had enough. These people do infact know who they are. HINT, look what is NO LONGER in my sig.

Yes ButchCassidy and all, the time has come. Time to take some drastic action and do it. I for one supports this.

Because it is quite a thing going on here.

This kind of action should have been there 6 months ago, but it's all happening again. Mike, wiz, me, we've all said it on numerous occasions. Ridiculed as we were then, i am glad to see more people realize what's happening here. Which is: NOTHING. Nothing really happens here on this forum. Not on iw/av's part.

The best thing is not buying COD2, advising everyone you know to not do it. Let them feel it where it counts, their wallets. That is the only thing of any importance to them anyway.

i agree butch totally with you.

The fact is most people who have a console have a pc, and the biggest for people buying games for the pc rather than the console is the MP

and 8 players on xbox aint enough.

this is acceptable. wanna add, tho, that i still consider CoD/UO/2 to be some of the best WW2 shooters since MoHAA, and not because former devs from 2015 make up IW. IW, something has to be done to make this game even better.

i don't see any harm in someone being made aware of this. it could very well be possible no one knows the extent of the discontent with the way things are. i'd say, go for it

Rather than shutting them down, I'd suggest leaving the servers up and passworded (and empty), with the server title either saying something appropriate ("ON STRIKE") or with a URL to a site that explains the motivations behind the lockings.

This is the main problem... ISNT THIS IW'S Forum?? They shouldnt have to be contacted... they should be reading this stuff all the time...otherwise why do these forums exist??

Great Idea!

not that I think IW CARES AT ALL if there are servers up or not, they already got their money

would it make more sense to have replies with a nice list of your players who support this like your squad name at the top or league and members of that squad or league?
example

www.xtremists.net support this action and run a jolt server found at ip xx.xx.xx and it shall shut down its server and nor shall the following players play during the blackout time...
1. shamrock
2. another member
3. another xtremists member and so forth

<[nWo]> have 4 servers dedicated to the CoD series and I have posted this in our forum for all of our members/regulars to read and respond too.

I personally am in full support of this action and I will post all names here that support it on our forum as well. Link will also be given so that you can check it out for yourselves.

Something has got to give, and even though it would appear that IW and AV could give a shyte about MP, a large server shutdown could be what is needed to show them that there *IS* a community united, and the community wants action NOW.

absolutely....if you have that kind of asset bring it to the table

HAVING SAID THAT

while I agree with your idea (and personally I prefer the one about PW'ing them & changing the name to "ON STRIKE")....

do you honestly think it'll make a diff?

the people that see this, and the devs DONT make the decisions...the suits do, and do you think they care about what you do ONCE they have your $$?

take a bit of advice from a Tribes player....VUG completely stopped supporting Tribes:Vengeance within 6 months of release because we slammed them with complaints (yes we were right the game WAS screwed up....much worse than CoD2 is)

all the suits will see is a lack of player support & a reason to cut losses.....think about it

yes something needs to be done, but I'm not sure this is the right track
